Here it is June 1st, 5 months into the 2014 Real Book Challenge. I've been forever waiting on my library holds of new books that were ordered long ago and the deluge has finally occurred. That means I've got almost a dozen books to finish in the next three weeks. And that means I have to do some creative betting, reading the most desired titles that won't likely be renewable and wagering on the lesser heard of titles that I'll likely be able to renew. Here's hoping June is more productive, because while I read 12 books in May, only 7 of
them were real. I remain a "Real Book Aficionado."
